Amora named official supplier of Tour de France
Amora, the French condiment brand, has signed up as an official supplier to cycling’s Tour de France.
Under the deal with ASO, the race owner and organiser, Amora will have a presence in the official refreshment booths during each stage of the this year's Tour.
The two parties will also collaborate on promotional campaigns, and Amora will release limited edition Tour de France-branded products.
This is the latest sponsorship deal secured by ASO ahead of this year's race, following an extended deal with Škoda, the Czech car maker, running to 2023, and a deal with Continental, the German tyre company, to 2022.
LCL, Krys and E. Leclerc are the other top-tier sponsors of the Tour.
The 106th edition of the race begins in the Belgian capital Brussels on 6 July and finishes in Paris on 28 July.
Meanwhile, Waze, a traffic navigation app, has been selected as the official traffic partner of the Giro d'Italia 2019 by RCS Sport, the event's organiser.
The app will aim to show fans how to get as close as possible to the event while also diverting motorists passing through areas affected by the race route onto roads not closed for the competition.
Paolo Bellino, chief executive of RCS Sport, said: "It [Waze] will certainly be a very useful and easy-to-use tool for getting the most out of the thrill... that the public experiences for the Giro d'Italia during each stage, all without suffering traffic problems."
This year's Giro d'Italia got under way on 11 May and runs to 2 June.
