FIG lands new Japanese sponsor in one-year deal
FIG, gymnastics' international governing body, has entered into a one-year sponsorship agreement with Tokio Inkarami, the Japanese hair cosmetic brand owned by IFing Co.
Under the terms of the agreement, brokered by CB Ltd, a Japanese sports marketing and government consulting group, Tokio Inkarami becomes an official FIG sponsor.
It will have brand exposure at three Parkour World Cup events, which now fall under FIG's control, and the FIG World Championships in Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics and Trampolining.
Morinari Watanabe, the Japanese president of FIG, said: “We are delighted to have Tokio Inkarami among our partners for the World Championships in our Olympic disciplines this year, but also for the event of Parkour, which is part of the new appealing urban sports trend.”
Masanao Fuyuhiro, chief executive of IFing, added: “Tokio Inkarami is proud to become an official sponsor of the FIG, a body which represents the most established of sports while also holding a vision of a future with little boundaries.”
